Business Opportunity:

Apto Payments serves small businesses that want to launch card programs and need to avoid lengthy contracts and development times. Many of these businesses are not served well by the industry’s larger competitors (e.g. Marqeta or Galileo).

Business Challenges:

  • Most acquisition was done through referrals

  • Business owners wanted a quick understanding of Apto as they shopped options.

  • Many small business owners wanted customizations that were costly for Apto.

Project Goals:

To give the business decision maker a high-level understanding of capabilities Apto needed improved brochure content on their website that was:

  • Simple and emphasized speed, a key attribute for the entrepreneur

  • Encouraged the customer to start to interact with the brand

  • Outlined the process of setting up a program and allowed for easy industry comparison

  • Introduced modular customization options

My Contribution:

  • Partnered with UX Designer to create ‘brochure’ content and design.

  • Led industry analysis and partnered with product team to identify industry approach to segmentation.

  • Did overview of feature offering versus competitive set per segment.

  • High level case studies for website.

  • Produced customer testimonial videos for usage in customer communication.
